Objectives

  • To Strengthening the vibrant system of local self-governance for authority and autonomy to the people at grass root level for sustainable livelihood promotion.
  • To inculcate an effective measure of community mobilization and ownership for NRM and livelihood promotion
  • Sensitization and capacity building of people  for better functioning of local self-governance.

Target area and people

  • Tribals of Narharpur Block, Kanker, Chhattisgarh

Outcome

  • CBOs and PRI strengthened their convergence with government and private institutions for community development.
  • CBOs and PRIs capacitated for community strengthening and system development.  
  • People capacitated for community based sustainable development action and initiatives.
  • Community ownership promoted for effective management of local resources through PRIs and Government Departments
  • Irrigation of agricultural land achieved for one crop.
  • Fund mobilized for agriculture and IGA from various public and private sources.
  • Enhanced food grain production 
  • Appropriate infrastructure, technology and market made available in the target area.
  • People’s enhanced income through NTFP.
  • Increased income by taking up non-farm activity like- manufacturing, servicing, and trading.
